Philip DeBlanks is dead!

The audience provides nouns, verbs, adjectives, desserts and body parts, and the actors provide the laughs — uncensored and unrehearsed — as the cast enacts the story using the words put in their mouths. It's "Clue" meets adult "Mad Libs," performed by some of the funniest people in show biz.

Our first-ever NYC cast: Barrett Foa, Ryann Redmond, Bobby Cronin, Leslie Margherita, Nancy Opel, Bernard Dotson

A Time Out NY Critics’ Pick written by Billy Mitchell, Villain: DeBlanks is an uproarious improvisational comedy where the cast says words you put in their mouths! The audience provides nouns, adjectives, and verbs (the wilder, the better), and the actors provide the laughs—uncensored and unrehearsed—as they solve the mystery of Philip DeBlanks’ untimely demise. It’s “Clue” meets adult Mad Libs, performed by the funniest people in show biz. Like a ride to summer camp in the back of a station wagon, each hilarious performance is ridiculously one-of-a-kind.

But, how does it work?

Good question! It goes something like this:

Sometimes things get a little “adulty”

Villain: DeBlanks is basically a long form mash-up of Mad Libs and Clue. The audience provides nouns, adjectives, and verbs (the wilder, the better), and the actors provide the laughs — uncensored and unrehearsed — as they solve the mystery of Philip DeBlanks’ untimely demise. The tone of the evening is determined by the words our audiences contribute.
